Director
James Watts-Rees
James was born and raised in Ton-Pentre. Before becoming one of the founders for Generation Rhondda James’ role was Community Development Lead at People and Work which he held for 5 years. James’ background also consists of working for the WRU where he was rugby development apprentice. he has always had an appetite for sport delivery which he has done since a young age. James is currently studying his Youth and Community Work degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Digital lead
Ethan Jones
Ethan was born and raised in Ton-Pentre. Before becoming one of the founders for Generation Rhondda Ethan’s role was Project lead for Digital Rhondda at People and Work which he held for 3 years. Ethan studied a foundation degree in IT through University of South Wales and is currently studying his top up IT degree at the Open University. He has always had a passion for IT and gaming and is also a Welsh speaker.

Financial Well-Being Lead
Tomas Jenkins
Tom was raised in Ton-Pentre. Before becoming one of the founders for Generation Rhondda, Tom’s role was Project Lead for Green Light at People and Work which he held for 3 years. Tom worked in construction before discovering his passion for community work and helping others. Tom possesses fantastic skills in areas of employment and wellbeing, and has fantastic links to bring to the public, private and third sector together to achieve a common goal of creating a more work diverse Rhondda.

Administrative Lead
Scott Jones
Scott was raised in Blaenrhondda. Before becoming one of the founders for Generation Rhondda, Scott’s was a Digital Assistant at People and Work. Scott has a degree in English and History and has a background in Administration. Scott will now take the administrative duties for Generation Rhondda.

Forest School Leader
Carmen Todd-Jones
Carmen Todd-Jones is an experienced and passionate Forest School Leader, WILD PLAY is all about big adventures for little explorers – helping children, families, and schools across the Rhondda discover the joy of learning, playing, and growing outdoors. With over 12 months of hands-on experience, a Well-being in Nature Level 2 qualification, and currently working towards Forest School Level 3, Carmen has delivered inspiring outdoor sessions for all ages.

Creative Arts Lead
Heather Hanson
Heather moved from England to the Rhondda in 2011. Before becoming a member of the Generation Rhondda team Heather’s previous role was a Document Preparation Operative. before she made the decision to pursue her passion in IT by joining the Generation Rhondda digital team as a Digital Assistant.

Project worker
William Leach
William was raised in Penygraig. He completed his A-levels at Treorchy Comprehensive School, studying Public Services and Engineering. Before joining the Generation Rhondda team, William gained valuable experience and is now undertaking a year-long placement through the Rank Aspire Program. He will be leading a program focused on tabletop gaming, sharing his passion and expertise with participants.
